Location: Waichin Valley
Dark looming hills have always been a source of fascination for me. The fact that nature has the ability to immediately light up these gigantic mountains with sun and snow is another wonder to behold. This beautiful play of light and shadow at a late afternoon in the laps of Himalayas, was captured in the Waichin Valley - popularly known as Magic Valley - for its mountains, flowers and adventure. I trekked to this extremely offbeat place located at an altitude of 2800 meters in Himachal Pradesh, as a getaway from the city life. This photograph is a perfect specimen of warmth in the coldest of times and to me it depicts serenity and grandeur.
